JANUARY MARKS THE SECOND MONTH OF OUR SECOND BLOCK OF TRAINING. We will continue working on the barbell olympic lifting variations (the clean and jerk and the snatch), and complicated kettlebell complexes to put all of those skills that you learned during our first block to the test! Additionally, we will be lifting a little bit heavier, running a little bit less (but faster), and utilizing tempo parameters to increase time under tension to build more muscle. TEMPO = the speed at which you perform each repetition, designated by four numbers. (33X1 = lower the weight in three seconds, pause for three seconds, lift the weight up as fast as you can, then wait one second before starting your next rep).
