MY BACKGROUND
It all started at the ripe age of 8 years old. My father took me to the kids club at 24 Hour Fitness while he worked out, and I spent the hour staring through the small porthole window facing the gym floor in admiration of how respected he was in that setting. My dad was big and strong, having competed and won multiple powerlifting meets and bodybuilding shows simultaneously. He was not only big, but strong too.. and I wanted to be just like him. Through the inspiration that I drew from my father, I started my own personal fitness journey at just 12 years old. Fast forward 23 years and almost 6,000 workouts, and here we are today!
As a teenager, I knew that I wanted to make a career out of something in the fitness sector, I just didn't know what. I got a job personal training at the 24 Hour Fitness in Chino Hills in 2010 while I completed my bachelors degree in kinesiology, and started Grizzly Baird Fitness in March of 2014 upon graduating. After struggling to help both myself and a few clients manage chronic and nagging injuries, I went back to graduate school in 2016 to complete my masters degree in athletic training, which was heavily rooted in rehab. I now had a formula for not only making people stronger and more fit, but for doing so both safely and effectively.

I saw my fathers mobility decline despite decades of working out and realized that there was a huge gap between traditional strength training principles and the skills that are actually required to successfully navigate through daily tasks as an older adult. The reality is... gyms are designed for people to move two dimensionally, while life demands more.... jumping, running, lunging, climbing, etc. And as Grizzly Baird fitness evolved, I found genuine passion in helping clients BOTH look and move better. As a result, my niche is strength and conditioning for longevity, But with my extensive educational background, I do it all... and through my small group program, I help people from all walks of life accomplish different goals simultaneously.

If you've made it this far, I appreciate you taking the time to read my story. Ive spent the last 12 + years fine tuning Grizzly Baird Fitness into the well oiled machine that it is today, and I hope to have earned your trust enough to at least sit down and chat about goals and a game plan for your success. Cheers.
